S.E.R.C Reports: 90% Recovery of CIC Assets

Phnom Penh, March 25, 2024 – The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (S.E.R.C) announced today that Cambodia Investment Capital Partnership (CIC Partner) has successfully retrieved approximately 90% of its assets through a series of strategic interventions. The regulator also emphasized the importance of implementing legal measures to safeguard the interests of genuine investors.

In a press release issued on March 25, 2024, S.E.R.C highlighted the progress made in restoring CIC Partner's assets and ensuring investor protection. The Commission for the Restoration of Companies and Funds has been diligently overseeing this process under the supervision of S.E.R.C.

"S.E.R.C remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability in the securities sector," stated the regulator. "We are dedicated to maximizing investor interests and will continue to review and enforce relevant laws and regulations."

Addressing concerns about the regulatory environment, S.E.R.C reassured stakeholders that regulatory frameworks would be rigorously upheld, even in challenging circumstances such as those encountered by CIC Partner.
